Almost two months after actor Lee Thompson Young took his own life at the age of 29, it's been revealed that the Rizzoli & Isles actor had a history with bipolar disorder. A report from the Los Angeles Country Coroner revealed Tuesday, Oct. 8, (via The Daily News) that at the time, Young was taking medication for his condition and also suffered from depression. Lithium capsules and Quetiapine Fumarate tablets were found both at his residence and detected in his blood. The report also mentions that no trace of opiates, cocaine, alcohol or other drugs were found in his system.
The late star was discovered with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his right temple at his North Hollywood apartment on Aug. 19 after he didn't turn up for a call time on set of the TNT series. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a suicide note was also not found at the tragic scene.

"Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed," Young's publicist said at the time in a statement.
Young first broke out in 1998 as the lead in Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson. He later reprised the role in a 2001 movie about the character, also making appearance on TV shows such as Smallville and Scrubs.
